In this webinar, Dr. Kremer will focus on the transition into behavioral health treatment, from active service to veteran life. The discussion will include the shift from the structure of the military into the civilian world, and the challenges this may present for veterans. It will also include descriptions of types of treatment and veteran specific resources within our community.
About the Presenter: Dr. Melissa Kremer earned her Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from the Adler University in 2012, with a concentration in trauma psychology. She completed her doctoral internship at the Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Her research, clinical interests and areas of expertise include trauma psychology, military psychology, end of life concerns and evidence-based psychotherapies for PTSD. She is currently PTSD Clinical Team provider at the Boise VAMC, and has been there since 2011. She also serves as the Telemental Health(TMH) lead for Boise Behavioral Health, and provides training and consultation around TMH for providers. She volunteers with several organizations in the Treasure Valley.
