Faced with significant disruptions to harm reduction services and operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, harm reduction providers have remained steadfast in their commitment to meet the needs of people who use drugs. Increased demands for services coupled with the unprecedented disruptions to daily life and organizational operations have led to increased levels of stress and risk of burnout among harm reduction providers, including peer providers. In response to these challenges, organizations can implement strategies at the individual and organizational levels to support staff wellness and prevent burnout. |
