All are welcome to attend
20 Participant Maximum | ASL interpreter will be present
Webinar Objectives:
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. This one-hour session is meant for anyone interested in an overview of suicide awareness and intervention, and to practice asking loved ones and friends difficult questions.
About the Presenter:
Anna Guida (she/her), MPA, lives in Portland, OR but grew up in Sandpoint, Idaho, and attended Boise State University for her undergraduate and graduate education. She has spent more than eight years in public health with an emphasis on behavioral health and has held QPR Instructor certification since 2018. Anna believes that focusing on the entire person in the pursuit of wellness, specifically mental well-being, is integral to long term healing and acceptance. Outside of work, she enjoys attending concerts, cooking for and hosting friends and family, and exploring the beautiful PNW with her partner and their dog Smokey.
