National Event: Intermediate Motivational Interviewing Training
For individuals who have had prior MI training and want to hone their skills, we will jump right into the deeper use of spirit and OARS strategies to identify and evoke change talk. This is a smaller group format to allow for multiple guided practice opportunities.
Curriculum pace and flow is intentionally designed to maximize engagement and interaction in a virtual environment.
Learning Objectives:
1. Discuss current use of MI and understand common roadblocks.
2. Deepen OARS skills through small group practice and use of basic coding.
3. Transition from listening for change talk to actively promoting change talk.
Trainer: Pam Pietruszewski, Integrated Health Consultant, National Council for Behavioral Health
One participant per registration, participation via webcam with audio is required. A certificate of completion is available upon request.
