The National Council for Mental Wellbeing is offering a new virtual opportunity for training in Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT).

Help identify, reduce and prevent risky or unhealthy alcohol and drug use using SBIRT. Recognizing and managing substance use is often a missing link in the integration of mental health and medical care, reflecting a need for workforce training and implementation support.

SBIRT is an integrated and comprehensive, evidence-based, early intervention program that has been implemented in a variety of settings including primary care, emergency departments, mental health and school-based health.
